Niche Marketing in Developing Countries

The basic challenges of creating, maintaining, and growing a successful business are the same worldwide. In developing countries, these challenges can be amplified for a variety of reasons, including widespread poverty, lack of infrastructure, and unstable government.
The objective is not to overcome these challenges overnight, but to work within them and make them work for you!
  • Identify a niche. In order for small business to thrive, it needs to create a product or provide a service that is both unique and relevant to the target community. Creatively thinking outside the box and developing complimentary yet separate services to those that already exist can boost not only your own profits, but those of an entire community!
  • Begin locally. Often, the best resources can be found at home. Identify partners who understand the needs and culture of the target community. Let them guide you through the proper channels to help minimize vulnerability and maximize opportunity. Consider forming a cooperative with local entrepreneurs who are willing to share not only the business and investment risk, but also the skills and rewards of a grassroots partnership!
  • Develop your brand. As a small business, you want to build recognition, trust, and loyalty around your product, sustaining its value long after its initial reception. This requires confidence and objectivity to step outside yourself and see your product or service as others perceive it. Only then can you commit to improving your brand with a recognizable logo, a catchy tagline, and an overall image that speaks well of its origin, of its grassroots.
  • Partner globally. Yours might be a business that started out as local, but if perchance to dream, why not go global? In this way, with proper and careful management, an entirely new market can open up. Products considered essential or custom in one country can take on new meaning in another, where a shrinking world view creates a consumer preference for ethnic goods from far flung places.
  • Go social. There is no better way to advertise a product than by word of mouth. In developing countries, reaching rural or undeserved populations can still pose a challenge, but working within the local framework of community connectivity and tradition can open doors. And, with technology reaching new frontiers every day, going social not only means recommending a product to the neighbor next door, it also means bringing your product to a worldwide consumer base linked via online social networks and video sharing.
Launching a business in a developing country takes courage, foresight, creativity, and a plan that is flexible enough to allow for a little experimentation and risk. Without risk, we cannot reap the rewards!

Greek Mythology Movies.

Greek Mythology Movies
by Martin K. Mwirigi
Greek mythology refers to myths of the ancient Greeks. The Greeks are the natives of the Greece therefore called Greeks. Greek mythology movies are the films through which several ancient stories of the Greek mythology have manifested themselves in today’s world. They are about the stories of the god and heroes of the Greeks. The Greek mythology movies are adapted from the Greek myths and portrayed on screens. It is at time very difficult to detect some information from the main story line therefore the character and the plot line is a difficult duty.
Each god and goddess commanded a respect and was worshiped by the Greeks. Some of the best mythology movies include; curse of the Black Pearl, Disney’s Hercules, Pirates of the Caribbean, Troy (2004), Jason and the Argonauts, Clash of the titans. The Odyssey (1997), Mighty Aphrodite (1995).These movies had a lot of significance on the ancient Greece land and have a great impact on the modern day Greece. In the modern world, we come across several signs and symbols are relating to Greek mythology. These are confined in several movies, books and arts.
The stories contained in these movies explain some natural phenomena that cannot be easily explained by modern science experts in ancient world.
These movies serve a major purpose of trying to explain how human beings and god came into being. This to me makes up very interesting and adventurous stories of all time. Greek mythology shows how heroes come into being and help the humans from the gods’ fury. According to me movies about Greek mythology are the most watched movies of all time all over the world. Ranging from young kids to the old all has had an experience with the movies.
Greek mythology movies boast of very interesting characters that portray immense touch of acting. This makes it easier to remember their stories for several years. These heroes can be illustrated by looking at Theseus, a king of Greece who was the founder of Athens. He came into fame for killing Ovid, a half man and half bull. There was Orpheus, a poet, musician and a prophet. He killed Medusa who turned any living being that looked into its eyes into a stone.
In the Greek mythologies there existed gods who ruled the Greeks; they were divided into groups as per their duties. I.e. there was a god of rain, a god of the seas, a god of health, a god of fertility, a god of the underworld, a god of the war and a goddess of love.
There are a lot of reasons for one to study the Greek mythology, since the culture of the ancient Greek land have been kept alive through oral stories and later through paintings, written stories. Modern novels, paints, plays and movies always refer to Greek gods, heroes and the stories.
The Immortals is the newest Greek mythology movie that has caught the eyes of many. Though I have not set an eye on it, from all that has been said, I can recommend The Immortals to every person.
In conclusion, there are different understandings of Greek mythology, with the Christians reinterpreting a myth as a lie. There are quite a lot of entertaining mythologies and I find the Greek mythology extremely charming.
